This place is everything short of an auto repair service. This is more like a parking garage. The owner is a scam artist who doesn't care about your time only about your money. trust me he charged me 80 dollars to "charge" my battery and change a battery terminal!!!! And the next day my car stalled on the LIE he put my life in danger because he is a lazy money hungry human. People be careful because he is clearly CARELESS!
My daughters car was stuck in the water from the flood and after it dried out, she drove it down to Kohl's and it stalled. We went to his shop the next morning to see if he could fix the car and asked him if he had a tow truck, he said yes and that he would bring it over right away and didn't mention anything about charging for towing across the street. He tried to charge us $60 for towing because he had to hire someone and we have AAA so we could have had it towed for nothing. Then he tells me that he had to fix the fuel pump and fuel filter and it would cost $310 and that was a break that he was giving us because the part would cost more money than he thought. We go there at 4:00 to check on him and he's fixing fuel pump and fuel filter and won't be ready until tomorrow. He says he will call tomorrow morning to let us know what's going on. He never calls so I go back at 10:00am the next day and he said when he has something to tell me he'll call me and let me know. I never heard from him. I went back at 5:00pm, he closes at 6:00pm, he said the car is ready but it will cost over $700 because he did extra work which he never asked me if I wanted him to do. My plan was to have it towed out of there and brought to another shop after he finished with the fuel pump because we did not like his service/attitude. Now we can't afford to pay the extra money he wants and he refuses to release the car to me until I pay for work I didn't consent to. We requested to see the parts he removed from her car and he refused to show me until the car was paid for leading me to believe that he is going to get a junk yard part and give it to me. I called my mother and asked her if I could use her credit card to pay him, and she gave us the information. He refused to be paid that way and said we need to physically bring him the card because he doesn't want to manually punch it in. I had already told him that I was a single mother and didn't have a lot of money, and when I told him I would call the cops he said that they won't do anything because it's a civil matter. He already knew that the police would do nothing and that he could get away with scamming me. He suggested I borrow the money from a friend to get the car back because until then, he's not letting it go. So I had to leave the car there. Now, tomorrow my daughter has to drive me to work in my car, and then take my car over to my mothers house to get her card even though I was there today once and I have to go back to him tomorrow. He's going to "do me a favor" and wait for me at the shop so I can go pay him tomorrow. End of story.
shady mechanic after your money! Beware!
I used to come to this place every year but as of this year i will never return. He treats you like trash and only wants money. I mean it does suck that he lives there (literally) but that's not the customers fault. He over charges and then does a horrible job. There is always a new face there to work on your car. Not only does he not work on your car but then when a mechanic is working on your car he interrupts them to do something else or have a conversation with him. I will warn everyone to stay far away from this place. Go down the block and try any other shop. I will never again waste my time and hard earned money on this cheap and ruthless money hungry crooked place again. So sad when you try and bring business to someone who will take you for a joke.
The worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I walked in for a simple inspection with my Honda that never has any problems. I was waiting inside and then he calls me that my light in the back windshield is out, which I found odd because it was just working. I can see this light from my rear view mirror every time I hit the brakes. After this I became skeptical. I asked for the price and he said it was $100 for the part from Honda. I got skeptical and said no way I'll be on my way. He's said he needed to charge me $50 for the labor he had already done and the failed inspection. So it was about $90 he needed to charge me. I was so mad I began to yell. He then turned very rude and nasty. I ended up doing it because I did not want to pay $90 for no reason. So I waited for the part and it got delivered from ANY PART store. He said it was coming from Honda, but he lied. I was done arguing, I paid him and I left. I will never return there ever again! He clearly wants to scam you. Not worth it. Don't go there. Go anywhere else.
